Hugh Hefner's Son Charged with Beating Playmate GF

Hugh Hefner's son Marston Hefner has officially been charged with roughing up his Playmate girlfriend ... and now faces over a year in jail -- this according to the Pasadena City Attorney.
TMZ broke the story ... Marston was arrested earlier this month after allegedly attacking Playmate of the Year Claire Sinclair inside the couple's Pasadena apartment.
A rep for the Pasadena City Attorney's office tells us, Marston was charged yesterday with one count of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant.
We're told Marston has also been charged with vandalism -- after he allegedly damaged Claire's lap top during the heated argument.
If convicted on both counts, Marston faces a year-and-a-half behind bars.
After reading this story and many more similar to this, along with seeing these things everyday on the news. Is domestic violence and women getting beaten by their boyfriends and husbands becoming more and more common in today's society? We see it all the time now, we all know someone who has been through it, going through it, or is trying to get out of it. We see it on the news, we see it down the street, we hear about it through people, and we watch stories about it on channels 100% focused on crimes such as Identity Discover (ID). We see it happening everywhere, is it starting to become more socially accepted becomes another question when a celebrity is only sentenced to a year in prison for assaulting his girlfriend and vandalizing her person items. This sentence seems way too short for someone who has committed such crimes and is destine to repeat the offense. Stories and headlines such as these seem to be so overlooked these days and hardly surprising. It is scary to think that this is what our country and society is coming to. Children are often exposed to violent behaviors like this with their parents or family members, making them more prone to violence when they are older. Another question is how does Hugh feel about this? Being his son this is a complete embarrassment in my opinion. For such a wealthy man who has always seemed calm and easy going to have a son who has such a violent behavior with women. I would love to see a fallow up on this article on his opinion to this.
